Sugar Dragon cuttings from one of the original motherplants given to Wallace Ranch by Paul Thomson. A self-fertile hybrid (Hylocereus guatemalensis × setaceus) known for sweet berry flavor, rich red/purple flesh, and abundant pollen — often used to boost yields in other varieties.
Though its fruit tends to be small (~½ to ¾ lb), its productivity and flavor more than compensate.
Pollination: Self-fertile, but can improve fruit size with cross-pollination
Skin / Flesh: Red skin with purple-red flesh
Fruit Size: Usually ~½ to ¾ lb
Sweetness: ~18 °Brix typical; can climb as plant ages
